Milkweed pod
There’s something about milkweed in fall and winter that catches my eye and my imagination – the seeds, the silky filaments, the way the pods split open and spill out, and the sight of seeds taking flight. Here’s an image from a recent encounter:
I’m working on a set of milkweed pages for my website – hopefully they’ll be up in a week or so. Sorry I haven’t been blogging much lately – I’ve been happily busy with print and other image sales.
Very interesting shot. I like your close-ups. They are really great.

I can’t wait to see the other photos if they are like this one. You really make it feel like I am peeking into the great unknown!
Lovely shot. I took some milkweek macro shots back in October, and have yet to post them. This is a very nice one!
This is so lovely. I love the milkweeds at all their stages. I too love to photograph seeds, etc. Nice to see your interpretation – inspiring!
Neat shot Tom. There is so much to explore with these plants.
Cool shot Tom, love how the seeds are just peeking out of the sac, great work.
