Least skipper

There are lots of these little butterflies flying now:

I’ve posted them before, but this one was such a delight to find I decided to share anyway. A common butterfly, but closeup equipment gives you a view you can’t achieve with the naked eye. Taken in a light rain – that’s not dew – with the camera shooting through high grasses.

  1. You’ve elevated the common skipper to that of fine art! S/he almost looks ‘pet-able’ with a silky coat. Yep, these guys are everywhere. You have such a way to capturing all the details, Tom! The skipper pops nicely off the background and the raindrops add a bit of whimsy.

    Only thig…need to remove that one teeny-tiny black spot in the background….
