Notes from the field, essays, and observations.
Bloodroot has become a spring ritual:
A composition I’ve tried before – this one turned out better than some of the others. This was from last weekend; they only last for a few days. The whole patch of 50 flowers has dropped petals to the ground.
Beautiful, Tom. Great composition, DOF, colours and light.
Stunning! I really love how the golden center just ‘glows’. Such an ugly name for a pretty little blossom!
Lovely shot, Tom. I meant to mention it the other day, but this is a very enjoyable perspective and so nicely different from the usual Bloodroot shot.
Very nice Tom. I really like the spread of stamen and petals in this.
