It wasn’t a great year for fall color, but there were a few trees with brilliant leaves. These maple leaves were among the best I saw this year:
They are beautiful. So well composed and well behaved 😉

I really like this Tom. The floating leaves with their bright colors are what immediately attracts, but the bg almost monochromatic sky reflection it dreamlike and an excellent background for the more lively subject. Nice capture of the surface tension as well.
Thanks, Steve! The background reflections and the surface tension effects are what I worked on most. I tried different apertures and angles to get a soft look to the reflections but retail the surface tension and leaf details.
