Dogbane beetles
My local dogbane patch is filled with beetles, including this dancing pair:
The male (in the back) is clearly amorous, but unlucky in love. She wandered off after a while. As I’ve noticed in previous years, the adult beetles seem to emerge more or less at the time the dogbane starts to bloom.
