Kiln brook cascade

Three slightly different views of a small cascade at a favorite brook:

The brook is always different, every time I go there. And it’s interesting to see how slight changes in angle and position give a different look to an image. These were taken a day or two after Hurricane Sandy – the brook wasn’t swollen, just a bit more flow than usual.

  1. Lovely. It reminds me of my childhood when I was fascinated by clear running brooks going thru the seasons. It was always a marvel when they froze over with water was still running below the ice sheet, and then when it all defrosted with bright icicles hanging stiff but melting away. Thank you for bringing back those memories.
