Kiln brook cascade
Three slightly different views of a small cascade at a favorite brook:
The brook is always different, every time I go there. And it’s interesting to see how slight changes in angle and position give a different look to an image. These were taken a day or two after Hurricane Sandy – the brook wasn’t swollen, just a bit more flow than usual.
Lovely. It reminds me of my childhood when I was fascinated by clear running brooks going thru the seasons. It was always a marvel when they froze over with water was still running below the ice sheet, and then when it all defrosted with bright icicles hanging stiff but melting away. Thank you for bringing back those memories.
Thanks! Kiln brook is the place I go to photograph stream ice patterns in the winter most often. Many of the stream ice pictures in the winter gallery were taken there.
Lovely little cascade Tom. Most of ours are fairly dry and Sandy had only a short term effect.
Thanks, Steve – I really need to go west or north for more waterfalls. Kiln brook whetted my appetite…
Very, very pretty. I like how the water has that “blur” effect – makes for that ethereal feel.
