Frost on an arching grass blade:
There have only been a few heavy frosts so far this season – it’s been pretty warm. I’m crossing my fingers for a chilly winter, but I don’t think I’m going to get it.
A jewel of nature! as always, a magnificent photo. v.
Thanks as always for your kind words, v.
We’ve had little frost hereabouts too Tom. Winter sure is not getting a very cold start. Nicely detailed and composed as always.
Beautiful. To see frost, this close-up, is a nice treat.
it’s a favorite subject. The warm weather has been a disappointment for a frost-lover – thanks!
Tom ~ exquisite capture in its elegant simplicity! Focus and subtle coloration add to the perfection.
Snow storm predicted here in the Mid-west. Invariably, cold temps will directly follow. When the cold arrives, shall I send you some? COD?
Thanks for the kind words, but I’ll wait for the cold stuff to come the usual way :). At least there was some frost this morning, the first in a week or so.
There’s wonderful colour in the stem, and of course the detail of the frost. Beautiful. Liked.
Thanks – the color took a bit of care to bring out. The capture was pretty low contrast, I had to increase the contrast to bring out the browns in the grass blade.
beautiful and cool details 🙂
Stunning pics on your site! I aspire to learn macro photography and will be bak!
