Willow anther

Back to rosegold willow catkins – here’s a high magnification image of a single anther that’s just about to burst with yellow pollen. In the background are anthers already yellow:

    • The focus was a matter of trial and error – the branch was swinging in the breeze. A frame or two out of half a dozen caught some of the excitiment I saw in the viewfinder.
