Another image from the Costa Rica trip:
Marvelous composition. It looks like evil ( apparent evil …) can beautiful.
Thanks, Vera. This particular pose is a favorite of the series I took – the diagonal line of the snake just what I wanted. I may post another pose…
I’ll add that looking at this image, really examining it, is an intellectual exercise.
Incredibly interesting image! For the flowers, I wasn’t sure if I was looking at salmon or lobster claws. 🙂
Thanks, Mark – when the blossoms are fresher they look a bit less claw-like. I never noticed the resemblance (my eyes were on the snake), but you’re right…
I’m with Mark on the lobster claw look. That top one looks like it’s about to take a bite.
Those blossoms are funky-looking – when they are fresher, they’re more like closed lobster claws…thanks, Steve!
scary but beautiful and colorful 🙂
Not something you should get too close to – I was using a long lens. Thanks, Joshi!
Wonderful example of blending in. Great shot.
Thanks, Anita – it was a really beautiful creature. Venomous, though.
