Field tree
An isolated oak in a foggy California field – there’s a bit of sun shining on a few of the rows of whatever was coming up:
From a visit in California a couple weeks back. I like the look of this field better than the 30 inches of snow on the ground here in Massachusetts…
For Maryrose.
Somehow, this image of a single, but
splendid California tree, with its bare and bleak branches, captures the sadness I now feel.
And the soft green field around the tree gives promise of new life and growth for all of us.

Warm thanks for your note, Jenny. I’m writing you tonight. By the way, the tree is in Davis.
simply stunning and art at it’s best 🙂
Really beautiful – simplicity at it’s best 🙂
Nice shot! Like that the background is all white:)
Thanks for commenting – white, but not as white as the 30 plus inches of white stuff on the ground here in Masschusetts (all in the last couple of weeks).
Looks like babies grow at her toe. 🙂
Beautiful work
Thomas, it was wonderful to see you on Saturday. I’m not sure how to reach you but if you can call me – my home # is in the SF phone book. Interested in hearing about the Costa Rica photo trip! Jenny
I like this image a lot, very beautiful 🙂
