In the beech forest
To break with my familiar photographic view of the world, I recently invested in a 15mm fisheye lens and took a walk in a favorite woods, a American Beech forest. Here’s a small gallery of the woods in the fall, three fisheye views and two closeups. Click on an image in the mosaic to see it larger.
I love the bark features we see on beeches and that’s a lovely forest you get to roam in, Tom. I’ve thought about a fish-eye lens, but opted for the 15mm macro instead. I’ve yet to try it as a wide angle for landscapes…or for a selfie.
Thanks, Steve. The Sigma 15mm I have is a macro lens – focuses close, just a few inches. It’s still a fish-eye, though.
Wonderful choice, beautiful images
great mood and beauty 🙂
I like these views Tom. I’ll bet you had fun changing things up here.
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
It’s fun looking at the world at 15mm – refreshing, and I now realize that extreme wide angle is an answer for some images I’ve tried to do with other focal lengths. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving as well.
