Notes from the field, essays, and observations.
An oak tree at the top of a hill in a pasture, from a recent trip to California:
Winter in California is the green season in the coastal hills, though the tree is bare – makes an interesting contrast.
Love this, in all its simplicity and beauty!
Oh, an uncluttered picture quality
Thank you for dropping by my pages – I am still ‘following’ but WP does not send me anything from your blog.
I love this California image! so much nostalgia for me. I am now in the Rocky’s. Family stuff brought me here. Local people love it here but I say: No comparison with the Santa Clara Valley! Thank you for this image, simple, true to life, but iconic. Maybe now WP will restore me to your blog ?
I hope WordPress does! I’ve missed your visits. I have no idea why the notices would stop. This was taken in the Petaluma area – I get to visit Marin and Sonoma from time to time.
minimalistic and beautiful 🙂
