Starflower blooms in masses on the forest floor, deep in the shade. I’ve done many closeups of single flowers that bring out the tiny bright anthers in the center, but groups of them look beautiful as well:

  1. For my taste, you have exactly the right amount of clarity in the leaves, as well. They’re as star-like as the flowers, and deserve their own attention, but here you’ve allowed them to be present without overwhelming the blooms.

    • The idea was to have the flowers stand out by brightness and sharpness. Glad you like the amount of detail for the leaves – I chose the aperture for the background look.
