It’s an especially appropriate entry now, as so many people have sought refuge from fire on California beaches. I wonder if I’m the only one who sees a pair of turtles (one submerged except for its head). The slight sand berm under the larger one makes it look as though it’s lying on a log.
My thoughts are with the people in Northern California near the Camp fire. Muir beach is more than 100 miles away from that fire, but the skies are filled with smoke in the Bay Area, from what I’ve read.
