Paine’s Creek Beach
Last week I got away to Cape Cod, and visited this spot in Brewster at sunset:
The beach has tidal flats with saltmarsh grass seen here. The beach area was off to the right, and with an inlet and broad pool to the left of this image. I also found a few interesting flowers that I’ll save for another post, and perhaps some other views of this beach and the glorious midday clouds. I haven’t been to the Cape in a number of years, I’ve never seen it more beautiful.
Amazing pic
Thanks – this place was a happy discovery.
👍
Gorgeous color in the sky.
Thanks, David!
Very nice, Tom. Good job emphasizing the foreground with what appears to be a colorful but empty sky. I haven’t been to the Cape in a long time also.
I was counting on the clouds I saw at midday to be there at sunset. At least I had the warm colors…
Now that’s a great scene. I expect all the people seeing your picture wish they could have been there with you then.
It was very beautiful, and there was small crowd of (widely-dispersed) people there to take it in with me. Thanks 🙂
Stunning Tom
Great image Tom! Enjoyed seeing it!
That’s one of the most appealing landscapes I’ve seen recently. I’m most taken with the circular pool you’ve shown. The wind is obvious from the bend of the grasses, but I especially like the way it’s playing on the water, creating both ripples and streaks.
I was very happy to find that circular pool. The diagonal lines are in the sand at the bottom of the pool. The water surface was from the wind, it was blowing 15-20mph.
