I like the tiny bubbles inside the most prominent of the frozen rain formations.
That was the very thing that attracted me to this macro scene.
The clarity of the drops is wonderful. Now, if only I can get these tiny bubbles out of my mind!
A little something for the holiday. Even in the dusky light, frozen drops seem to shine. Thanks!
I am glad to see these little drops of delight, Tom. Sadly I did not take advantage of the ice coating everything this time around. Best wishes for 2022.
It was so short-lived! I planned on going out in the morning to see if they got frosty, but it warmed up into the 40s. Best wishes for next year to you as well.
I agree with you and Steve, those little air bubbles really are fascinating. Gets me wondering how it all forms and what it would be like to have a time lapse or video camera there to capture the formation and speed it up for us to view.
There’s a project for you, Todd! Here’s another frozen drop with even more bubbles: https://tomwhelan.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/55a0891-ice-drop2.jpg?w=447&h=&zoom=2
